Part-Time Staff Accountant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Staff Accountant to support our growing team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking for a flexible schedule and meaningful work in a supportive environment. It’s especially well-suited for a stay-at-home parent or someone seeking part-time hours during the school day.

Position Overview

The Part-Time Staff Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including revenue recognition, payroll journal entries, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and experienced with QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Record and reconcile revenue transactions
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries
• Process accounts payable and vendor payments
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Support accounting and administrative projects as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency with QuickBooks
• Experience with:
• Revenue accounting
• Payroll entries
• Accounts payable
• Bank reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
