The Eastham Fire Department is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/Paramedic. This role involves responding to fire emergencies, providing advanced life support medical care, maintaining apparatus, equipment, and facilities, participating in required training and drills, and representing the Department professionally both on and off duty.

Eligibility and Qualifications

• Applicants must

hold current Massachusetts and/or National Registry Paramedic certification.

• EMT-level candidates will not be considered during this hiring round.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid Massachusetts driver's license is required.
• Firefighter I/II certification is preferred.
• Transfers from other municipal or departmental positions will be considered, subject to qualifications and departmental needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,052.89 to $96,969.59 annually, with an anticipated hiring salary of $70,502.89. Effective July 1, 2026, the salary range will increase to $81,348.54 to $. Employees transferring with relevant prior experience will have that experience considered in their starting compensation.
