Security Officer – 2nd Shift (Hotel)

Responsibilities

• Monitor hotel premises perform regular visual patrols to identify potential security risks or suspicious activity
• Control access points by verifying guest, visitor, contractor, and staff credentials, ensuring only authorized individuals enter secure areas
• Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, conflicts, or security breaches, utilizing first aid skills such as CPR and AED operation when necessary
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes and maintaining a calm environment for all guests and staff
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment effectively to monitor activity and assist law enforcement or loss prevention efforts as needed

Qualifications

• Active PERC CARD (Required)
• 20 hr. Training Certification (Required)
• Proven experience in security roles, or related fields with knowledge of surveillance techniques and conflict management strategies
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, procedures are highly desirable
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
• A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining safety standards
