Company Overview:
Tiello has partnered with a growing Structural Steel Fabricator on their search for a Senior Project Manager. This organization specializes primarily in structural steel fabrication with some miscellaneous metals exposure and supports a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial projects throughout California and the West Coast.
The company has experienced steady growth and is seeking a strong “plug-and-play” Project Manager to step into. While headquartered in Central California, this position can operate remotely or hybrid for the right individual.
Role Summary:
The Project Manager will oversee structural steel fabrication projects from award through closeout while coordinating closely with detailing, production, and field teams. This individual will manage multiple projects simultaneously, typically overseeing $7M–$12M in active work at a given time.
This role will work alongside a dedicated support structure including Project Coordinators, Field Coordinators, and Field Superintendents, and will report directly to the Director of Project Management. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, self-sufficient PM who can seamlessly step into an active fabrication environment and manage projects with minimal ramp-up.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage structural steel fabrication projects from contract award through closeout
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects totaling approximately $7M–$12M in active work
- Coordinate with detailing, shop production, procurement, and field teams
- Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and change orders
- Track fabrication progress, production schedules, and material flow
- Maintain communication with general contractors, owners, and external stakeholders
- Monitor project budgets, forecasting, and overall profitability
- Coordinate with Field Coordinators and Superintendents to ensure schedule alignment
- Support internal project reporting and documentation processes
- Travel to jobsites approximately once per month for onsite presence and coordination
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within Structural Steel Fabrication environments
- Experience managing multiple structural steel projects simultaneously ($7M-$12M at a time)
- Strong understanding of fabrication workflows, shop operations, and steel project lifecycle
- Experience managing commercial and/or industrial structural steel projects
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Software experience with StruMIS, Bluebeam, and/or Trimble products preferred
- Exposure to Spectrum and ProjectSight (or similar project management/accounting systems) preferred
- Ability to travel periodically to jobsites and company operations as needed
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
