Role Description The Logging & Remedial Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Irwin, PA, supporting field operations for logging and remedial services. This role is responsible for operating wireline trucks and equipment, preparing tools and instruments for logging, P&A, Pipe Recovery, Fishing and perforating jobs, and assisting with the setup and rig-up at well sites in accordance with company and customer procedures. Daily tasks include monitoring equipment performance, performing basic troubleshooting, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring accurate data collection and documentation. The Operator works closely with field supervisors and engineers to execute job programs safely and efficiently, adheres to all safety protocols and environmental guidelines, and participates in pre- and post-job briefings. This position may require irregular hours, travel to various locations, and working in varying weather and field conditions.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate, inspect, and maintain field equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Basic understanding of oil and gas well operations, logging and perforating processes, or a willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
- Capability to work safely in demanding field environments, including adherence to safety policies, use of PPE, and participation in safety programs.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow technical instructions and job procedures accurately.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with field crews, supervisors, and customers.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or prior experience in oilfield services, logging, or related trades is beneficial.
- Physical ability to perform field work, including lifting equipment, working outdoors in varying conditions, and standing for extended periods.
