Position Description

The Account Associate Group serves a unique and dynamic role focused on delivering best-in-class service to PIMCO’s institutional clients. The individuals that make up this team collaborate within the broader Client Management group to ensure delivery of high-quality, consistent, and timely client service across a diverse range of asset classes and investment mandates.

The primary responsibility of associates and analysts is to work alongside Account Managers as part of dedicated relationship teams. This includes gathering, analyzing, and discussing economic and fixed income trends, evaluating portfolio structures and strategies, and delivering performance attribution and portfolio insights to clients.

In addition, the team increasingly leverages data, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance client service, scale coverage efforts, and generate actionable insights. Associates are expected to identify opportunities to improve workflows, apply AI-enabled tools with sound judgment, and support more efficient, tailored, and insight-driven client engagement.

Beyond client servicing, Associates play a critical role in supporting the operating infrastructure of client coverage—maintaining high standards across reporting, coordination, and execution. This position offers a strong foundation for long-term career development within PIMCO, with many individuals progressing into client-facing roles, product specialist positions, or other areas across the firm.
