About East Coast Facilities
East Coast Facilities, Inc. (or “ECF”) is a leading provider of self-performed facility maintenance services, delivering high-quality solutions—including snow and ice removal, landscaping, and repair services—to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients across key U.S. markets. ECF is recognized for its employee-first culture and utilizes trained personnel, advanced technology, data-driven decision-making, and enterprise-level systems to consistently deliver safe, on-time, and on-budget results.
The Opportunity
East Coast Facilities, Inc. (ECF) is building out its Finance and Accounting team to support rapid growth across multiple markets. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Accountant or Senior Accountant to play a key role in strengthening our accounting function.
This is not a back-office data entry role. You will own meaningful accounting responsibilities from day one — contributing to month-end close, fixed asset and lease accounting, payroll accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement — with real opportunity to grow your scope and career as ECF continues to scale.
The level of the role — Accountant or Senior Accountant — will be determined based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.

- Maintain ECF's fixed asset subledger including additions, disposals, and depreciation in Sage Intacct
- Manage and reconcile loan schedules and update the master amortization schedule monthly
- Support lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842 including right-of-use asset and lease liability tracking
Revenue & Job Costing
- Collaborate with ECF’s AR/Customer Management Team and support revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and applicable contract terms
- Assist in tracking contract and job profitability across ECF's service lines
- Process and maintain cost and expense allocations across departments and cost centers
AP Accruals & Vendor Accounting
- Collaborate with ECF’s AP/Vendor Management team and prepare month-end AP accrual workpapers and journal entries
- Review vendor invoice coding and auto-pay postings for accuracy in Sage Intacct ERP
Payroll Accounting
- Review weekly payroll registers and postings from ADP Workforce Now to Sage Intacct
- Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts including accrued wages, PTO, benefits, and payroll tax liabilities
Financial Reporting & Financial Reporting Support
- Assist in preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Prepare lender reporting packages and covenant compliance calculations
- Support review/audit workpaper preparation for ECF's outside accounting firm
Sales & Use Tax Support
- Assist with Sales and Use Tax filings on Avalara and record tax payment journal entries in Sage Intacct
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization
- Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and close workflows
- Support Sage Intacct ERP optimization including new modules, field mapping, and reporting enhancements
- Contribute to internal controls documentation and audit readiness initiatives
