We're working on a Staff Accountant role with a mid-sized financial services organization located in Rosemont. They’re hiring for someone who wants real ownership in the month-end close process and strong foundational accounting exposure.
What makes this role valuable is the scope - you’ll gain experience across both core GL accounting and operational transaction-based accounting, which is a strong differentiator for future Senior Accountant opportunities.
This is a great step-up role for someone with ~2–4 years of accounting experience who wants to go deeper than basic journal entries and reconciliations.
You’d be responsible for:
- Preparing and posting journal entries during month-end close
- Reconciling bank, GL, and balance sheet accounts
- Supporting transaction and payment reconciliation processes tied to partner activity
- Assisting with monthly financial reporting and budgets
- Supporting audit and regulatory requests
- Partnering with external stakeholders on financial transactions
Compensation is $60-70K base + bonus, 2 days on-site
