Location: East Hartford, CT
Shift: 1st or 2nd Shift Available (15% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift)

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Aerospace Inspector to play a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and reliability of precision aerospace components supplied to some of the industry's most demanding customers, including GE Aerospace, Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and other leading OEMs.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented quality professional who thrives in a highly regulated manufacturing environment and understands the importance of delivering products that meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and compliance.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Aerospace Inspector, you will be responsible for verifying product conformity through detailed visual and dimensional inspections while ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and aerospace industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Review and validate process certifications and supporting manufacturing records.
- Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAI), PPAP documentation, ECAV reports, and customer submissions.
- Utilize micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, microscopes, and other inspection equipment.
- Support investigations and root cause analysis for quality-related issues.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve technical and customer concerns.
- Interface with customers and auditors as required.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements and aerospace standards.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of aerospace inspection experience.
- Experience supporting major aerospace OEM customers, including:
- GE Aerospace
- Collins Aerospace
- Pratt & Whitney
- Strong understanding of:
- First Article Inspection Reports (FAI)
- Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
- ECAV reports and customer submissions
- Experience navigating customer supplier portals and quality systems.
- Knowledge of critical aerospace component requirements, including ESA, VSE, SPS, and Flight Safety processes.
- Strong proficiency with inspection equipment, digital gaging systems, and quality management software.
- Familiarity with export compliance requirements including ITAR and DFARS regulations.
- Ability to perform detailed inspections utilizing microscopes and magnification equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards.
- Working knowledge of J-STD-001 requirements.
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience preferred.
- AS9100 manufacturing environment experience highly desirable.
