Job Description:

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in running a facility by supervising the preventative maintenance program and managing the maintenance parts room for optimal operational performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Observe and execute the plant preventive maintenance system to keep the plant running smoothly.
  • Increase plant performance and minimize equipment downtime by skillfully coordinating, dispersing, and auditing all work orders.
  • Check and manage inventory status in the maintenance parts storage room.
  • Observe monthly expenses by keeping track of all purchase orders; aid the Plant Maintenance Inventory Specialist in the budgeting process by presenting monthly reports and evaluations.
  • Oversee the Parts Expeditor / Clerk role.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the SAP PM database for the plant and consolidate the procurement process by using SAP and EBP platforms to purchase essential components.
  • Ensure Safe Disposal of Dangerous Chemicals by Proper Planning.
  • Schedule yearly check-ups for all plant equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to hold weekly meetings for maintenance work planning and scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Related maintenance experience in the range of three to five years is commonly expected.
  • This position requires advanced skills in Microsoft Office, in particular, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • In order to apply for this role, you must possess either a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; an individual with a vocational or associate degree would have an added advantage.
  • Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in industrial maintenance and demonstrate expertise in parts ordering and inventory management.
  • It is advantageous to have prior knowledge and experience in planning and scheduling for plant, project, or construction work.
  • An ideal candidate would have experience with Maximo, with an even stronger preference for those with a solid understanding of CMMS systems.
