AP Accountant

Our client is a leading global alternative asset manager. They seek an Accountant/AP Lead to join their Irving, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payments
• Execute weekly ACH, wire, and check payment runs accurately and on schedule
• Maintain vendor relationships, reconcile statements, and resolve inquiries or discrepancies
• Administer builder-related expenses, including coding, tracking, reimbursements, and reporting against project budgets
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of builder expense data
• Maintain vendor master data, support onboarding, and enforce approval workflows and payment controls
• Monitor AP aging and provide reporting to support cash planning and project-level visibility
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, AP subledger balancing, and expense classification review
• Manage Ramp expense reporting and corporate card activity, including approvals, reconciliations, and policy compliance
• Improve AP workflows through automation tools, system-based processes, and ongoing process enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4-6+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
• Strong experience with supporting month-end close processes
• Experience with expense management tools is a plus
• Comfortable working in a growing, process-building environment
• Strong communication skills and vendor/customer service mindset
• Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite or similar) is a plus
