Stock Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Stock Maintenance Specialist at Aramark, you play a key role in ensuring that products are received, organized, and distributed efficiently and accurately. You'll support the overall warehouse operations including inventory management, order preparation, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications:

  • One must have reached the age of 18 or above
  • The preferred qualification for applicants is a high school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting for at least two years is desired
  • The core competencies of reading, writing, and math are crucial
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong communication skills evident in both written and verbal contexts
  • Skill in using machinery with precise hand coordination
  • Sufficient strength to lift objects up to 50 lbs and undertake regular lifting and carrying of loads up to 35 lbs
  • Possession of a valid driver's license might be necessary depending on the location, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check being conducted as part of the process

Physical Demands:

This role may require the following responsibilities:

  • Prolonged intervals of walking and staying upright
  • Regularly engaging in lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling activities
  • The rules about wearing uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be strictly followed

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, examine, and categorize new merchandise; identify any differences between shipments and billing documents
  • Utilize the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) strategy for organizing and storing perishable products to optimize inventory management
  • Utilize or receive instruction on operating manual or electric pallet jacks and forklifts when required
  • Collect and categorize resources to satisfy demands for products, supplies, and equipment
  • Move, offload, and convey merchandise within the storage facility or to customer sites utilizing either carts or motorized vehicles
  • Execute planned inventory counts at the specified times
  • Ensure thorough completion of documentation tasks such as inventory records, temperature monitoring, spoilage tracking, and equipment assessments, whether in physical or electronic formats
  • Maintain the tidiness and upkeep of warehouse areas, which include bathrooms, break rooms, loading docks, and elevated platforms
  • Adhere to safety protocols, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) recommendations, and protocols for emergencies
  • Stay safe by wearing the prescribed Personal Protection Gear (PPG) for the task
  • Guarantee the protection of client and company assets
  • Ensure professional conduct when interacting with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and carry out any additional tasks as required
