Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product demonstrations when appropriate
  • Process retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring efficient checkout experiences
  • Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with attention to detail and integrity
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
  • Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items to enhance their shopping experience
  • Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to promote sales opportunities
  • Support inventory management by restocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring the sales floor remains inviting and well-organized

Requirements

  • Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments
  • Strong proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively
  • Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations, including merchandising, stocking, and retail math principles
  • Ability to demonstrate product features confidently through demos and upselling techniques
  • Familiarity with phone etiquette and providing outstanding customer service in person or over the phone

Pay: $17.80 - $19.25 per hour
