Komeya No bento earned its TOP100 Places To Eat in the SF bay area in its first year of operation. We take pride in serving the high quality ceremonial matcha beverages with our own subtle recipes, along with premium hand-crafted bento boxes.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who will be serious about this position, to join our team to not only take Komeya further but also grow together.

Work schedule

Part-time or Full-time

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes with precision and consistency in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strictly follow our recipes and standard.
• Ingredients preparation including but not limited to cutting meat, vegetables, and sauce making.
• Maintain a daily stock list and report to the manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, tools and etc.
• Maintain punctual and reliable attendance.
• Assist other team members with other tasks needed to ensure smooth operations during the shift.
• Follow health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of experience in line cook or kitchen-related position.
• Ability to use the fryer, and other common commercial equipment.
• Ability to read and speak English at communicable level.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast-paced environments.
• Ability to follow instruction.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time during shift.
• Mid-pro level of knife skill.
• Consistent positive attitude and work ethic.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
