Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)
Responsibilities
Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population‑appropriate manner consistent with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Training
Hold current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
Current BLS certification required (must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment).
Current IV certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.
Experience
One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
