Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for all employees while maintaining compliance with relevant labor laws and tax regulations. Your expertise in payroll systems and accounting software will be instrumental in supporting our organizational goals. Responsibilities

  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
  • Maintain and update employee records within HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll software, ensuring data integrity through meticulous data entry and account reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations to support financial accuracy.
  • Manage payroll tax filings, including deductions for income tax, social security, Medicare, and other statutory contributions.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to administer employee benefits programs and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
  • Support audits by providing detailed documentation of payroll transactions and maintaining organized records of all payroll activities.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, labor law compliance, tax law, and financial concepts related to payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks or comparable tools; familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus.
  • Knowledge of time & attendance systems and benefits administration processes.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10-key typing), along with double entry bookkeeping expertise.
  • Ability to analyze financial data accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across HR, finance, and external agencies; strong organizational skills for account reconciliation and journal entries.
