Working as a Inventory Control Specialist at Aramark, you have a crucial responsibility in overseeing the efficient and precise receipt, organization, and distribution of goods. Your duties involve assisting with various warehouse tasks such as managing inventory, preparing orders, and upholding a clean and secure workspace.

Qualifications:

• The age requirement is that individuals must be over 18 years old
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent GED is advantageous
• Previous warehouse experience of at least two years is advantageous
• The core competencies of reading, writing, and math are crucial
• Basic computer literacy
• Proficient communication abilities in both written and spoken forms
• Proficient in utilizing machinery with nimble manual dexterity
• Sufficient strength to lift objects up to 50 lbs and undertake regular lifting and carrying of loads up to 35 lbs
• In certain locations, the possession of a valid driver's license may be a prerequisite, necessitating a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review

Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, and tag incoming items; report any discrepancies detected between the received goods and invoiced quantities
• Employ the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory technique to arrange and manage perishable items effectively
• Handle manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts through operation or training when required
• Collect and categorize resources to satisfy demands for products, supplies, and equipment
• Carry out the loading, unloading, and transportation of merchandise within the warehouse space or to designated customer areas using carts or motorized vehicles
• Perform regular inventory checks as planned
• Thoroughly document activities like updating inventory records, verifying temperatures, logging spoilage incidents, and inspecting equipment by ensuring accurate completion of paperwork or electronic forms
• Maintain the tidiness and upkeep of warehouse areas, which include bathrooms, break rooms, loading docks, and elevated platforms
• Respect safety policies, comply with OSHA regulations, refer to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines, and understand emergency procedures
• Employ suitable Personal Protective Gear (PPG) as needed
• Maintain the safety of both client and company property
• Ensure professional conduct when interacting with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
• Attend all meetings and handle any other duties as instructed

Physical Demands:

This role may require the following responsibilities:

• Prolonged durations of walking and standing
• Recurrent engagement in activities involving lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
• The rules about wearing uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be strictly followed
