A global automotive parts manufacturer north of Lexington, KY is searching for a Payroll and Benefits Manager to support and lead their operations. The ideal candidate will have an educational background in human resources (HR) and/or a CEBS/CBP certification, prior leadership experience, and a strong background with benefits administration.

Payroll and Benefits Manager Responsibilities:

  • Administer employee benefit programs (health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k, etc.) for a manufacturing facility of several hundred team members
  • Determine eligibility for enrollment in company benefits programs, communicating requirements effectively to new hires and current employees
  • Communicate cross-functionally between employees, insurance, and company leadership to resolve issues
  • Manage company FMLA program, ensuring employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities
  • Process relevant benefits and employee documentation, ensuring timeliness and accuracy in all reporting
  • Support Worker’s Compensation program, ensuring incident reports and claims are filed correctly, and working with employees and insurance to ensure a smooth process
  • Support senior management in providing information and guidance for employees on their benefits and resolving any issues that arise
  • Support leadership and general human resources department functions
  • Other duties as assigned

Payroll and Benefits Manager Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in human resources management or accounting preferred. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) certifications strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of prior work experience in benefits administration, payroll, or human resources. Prior team leadership or management experience is also required.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience with ADP (National Accounts)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work between departments and teams
