Purpose

Divergent is hiring an Advanced Manufacturing Production Specialist to coordinate materials, tooling, and workflows across the production floor , ensuring efficient operations, minimal downtime, and on-schedule output in a high-precision aerospace environment. Th e role acts as a link between machining, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, resolving constraints and prioritizing work orders while monitoring production status, tracking inventory and tooling , and identifying bottlenecks

The Role

Help coordinate daily production activities to ensure alignment with manufacturing schedules and on-time delivery commitments.

Ensure the availability of tooling, materials, and work instructions prior to job release to minimize downtime and production interruptions.

Assist with managing and tracking work orders through ERP/MRP systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date production status.

Monitor tooling inventory and usage, support tool crib operations, and initiating replenishment or replacement as needed.

Identify and proactively help address production bottlenecks.

Assist with production planning activities, including job sequencing, capacity considerations, and resource allocation.

Maintain accurate documentation, including digital travelers, inspection records, and production logs, in accordance with company requirements.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and supporting process optimization efforts.

Basic Qualifications

Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls

High school diploma (or equivalent) or relevant aerospace/precision machining experience

1+ year of administrative or production support experience minimum in a manufacturing environment

Strong organizational, multitasking, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven production settings

Familiarity with CNC machining, blueprint reading, tooling, and production workflows

Basic knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100) and FAA regulations

Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel for scheduling, tracking, and data analysis

Ability to manage and track work orders, inventory, and tooling availability

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments (tight tolerances)

Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles

Certification or training in:

APICS / supply chain fundamentals

Prior experience in:

Tool crib management

Production control

Inventory systems

Work Environment

This role operates in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment where priorities can shift rapidly based on engineering changes, supply chain constraints and Program milestones. The environment demands tight cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics and Program teams to ensure daily execution aligns with long-term build plans.

Success in this environment requires hands-on engagement on the shop floor, strong system’s knowledge, and the ability to anticipate and resolve scheduling risks before they impact key deliverables.

The culture emphasizes proactive communication, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement to meet aggressive program timelines while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of daily job duties, including loading, unloading, and moving materials. Demonstrate proper lifting techniques to prevent injury, maintain physical stamina for repetitive tasks, and follow all workplace safety guidelines when handling heavy items.

Pay Range

$36 $50 USD
