We're always looking for strong Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Project Schedule Managers for public-sector IT programs in the Columbia, SC area. If you run projects well and like work that actually ships, let's talk.
These are hands-on roles inside agency PMOs — modernization programs, infrastructure and cloud projects, application rollouts, and large multi-vendor initiatives. You'd own delivery end to end and work directly with leadership, technical teams, and vendors.
What you'd be doing
- Lead projects from kickoff to close — scope, schedule, budget, risk, and reporting
- Build and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and executive dashboards
- Run the cadence — work sessions, stakeholder reviews, and steering committee updatesKeep cross-functional teams aligned: internal IT, vendors, SMEs, and agency partners
- BA-leaning roles: elicit and document requirements, map current vs. future state, and re-engineer business processes
- Schedule-focused roles: own the master schedule in MS Project / Project Web App, track critical path, and report earned value and variance
What we're looking for
- 5+ years managing IT, infrastructure, or enterprise projects (more for senior seats)
- PMP or PMI-ACP certified — or close to it
- Strong with MS Project / Project Web App, SharePoint, Visio, and the Office suite
- Comfortable in both Agile and waterfall
- Clear communicator who can hold a room of technical and business stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
Nice to have
- Government or public-sector project experience
- Business analysis and process redesign
- Familiarity with NIST, PCI, PUB 1075
- Experience overseeing vendor-delivered work
Location & logistics
- Onsite or hybrid in the Columbia / Blythewood, SC area
- Current SC residents preferred; NC and GA candidates open to relocating are welcome
- Contract roles — rate depends on the program and the position
- Work authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders only
