About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumbing Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial plumbing systems and can work independently or as part of a crew on new construction, renovations, tenant fit-outs, and service projects throughout New York City.

This position requires a skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains a safe work environment, and can effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades.

Commercial Plumbing Mechanic Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Install sanitary, storm, domestic water, gas, and waste piping systems.
• Set and connect plumbing fixtures, equipment, and specialty systems.
• Perform rough-in, finish, and service work on commercial projects.
• Troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with NYC Plumbing Code and project specifications.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Follow OSHA safety regulations and company policies.

Commercial Plumbing Mechanic Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial plumbing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing installations and code requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and layout plumbing systems independently.
• Experience with cast iron, copper, steel, PVC, CPVC, PEX, and no-hub piping systems.
• Experience installing pumps, water heaters, backflow preventers, fixtures, and commercial equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete work with minimal supervision.
• OSHA 30 certification
• Valid driver's license is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and dependable attendance.
