Property Management & Construction Accounting
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to support a growing group of companies in the property management, real estate, and construction industries.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, tracking construction job costs, and preparing reliable financial reports. The ideal candidate takes pride in clean books, enjoys solving discrepancies, and understands that accurate financial information is critical to business decisions.
This position works closely with the CFO and accounting team. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Collections functions are already staffed, allowing this role to focus on bookkeeping, financial accuracy, reconciliations, reporting, and accounting oversight.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers across multiple entities
- Review and categorize transactions for proper accounting treatment
- Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Track construction job costs and project profitability
- Assist with cash tracking and treasury administration
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports
- Review accounting data for accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist the CFO with financial reporting and special projects
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Experience with property management accounting preferred
- Experience with construction accounting or job costing preferred
- Experience with multiple entities preferred
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and financial reporting
