Location: Remote, supporting properties in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area — North County and surrounding areas

Availability: Salaried position requiring 24/7 availability for property and tenant needs

About the Role

A privately owned and actively growing residential portfolio is seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across our St. Louis-area properties, with a concentration in North County. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage a high volume of properties, keep leasing and turnover moving efficiently, and partner directly with the portfolio owners to support continued growth.

This is a remote, salaried position. Current workload is roughly 20–30 hours per week, with the expectation of 24/7 availability for property and tenant needs as they arise. As the portfolio grows, so will the role and compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Collect monthly rent and manage tenant payment follow-up
  • Coordinate with housing authorities, including Section 8/voucher programs and inspections
  • Market available properties for lease and minimize vacancy
  • Solicit and facilitate contractor bids for make-ready and turnover work
  • Schedule photography and marketing materials for homes that need to be actively rented
  • Place lockboxes on properties and manage access
  • Conduct property tours for prospective tenants
  • Screen rental applications, including background, credit, and income verification
  • Work directly with the portfolio owners to manage and grow the portfolio

Requirements

  • Familiarity with housing authority processes and Section 8/voucher requirements
  • Strong knowledge of the St. Louis rental market, especially North County
  • Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Proficiency with property management software and standard office tools
  • Proven property management experience, with a track record of managing at least 50 properties (not required but preferred)

Preferred

  • Existing relationships with local contractors and housing authority staff
  • Experience scaling or supporting a growing portfolio
