Rate : $70 per hour/W2

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping how the organization defines, measures, and acts on IT performance. You will partner with business and IT managers to develop complex technology concepts into meaningful, data-driven insights—driving the evolution of metrics, dashboards, and reporting that inform senior leadership decision-making.

This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can partner across business and technology teams to develop clear, actionable metrics and ensure data is trusted, relevant, and aligned to strategic outcomes.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Metrics Strategy & Development

Drive the IT Governance Metrics Refresh and continuous improvement of IT metrics, KPIs, and reports

Act as the senior business systems analyst on the first version of the IT Balanced Scorecard

Analyze historical data to recommend and refine metric targets and thresholds

Challenge metric owners to improve rigor, accuracy, and business relevance and automation

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through advanced data analysis

Requirements & Delivery

Gather, define, and document business and technical requirements for data engineers and Power BI developers for both the IT Governance Metrics Dashboard and IT Balanced Scorecard.

Collaborate with the development team to implement enhancements to the IT Governance Metrics Dashboard and IT Balanced Scorecard

Translate IT concepts into clear metric definitions and reporting requirements

Partner with database engineers to understand data models, tables, and relationships

Ensure requirements are traceable, testable, and aligned to business objectives

Data Analysis & Reporting

Perform deep data analysis using advanced Excel and SQL to generate insights

Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across reporting layers

Test Power BI dashboards against requirements and expected outputs

Develop executive-ready presentations summarizing insights and recommendations

Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement

Lead and facilitate metric review sessions and working groups

Drive discussions to define meaningful metrics aligned to IT processes and outcomes

Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership

Delivery Execution & Governance

Manage and track work through JIRA and Agile practices

Ensure strong organization and documentation of requirements, decisions, and outputs

Support governance processes by ensuring transparency and consistency of metrics

Contribute to a data-driven culture across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:

Strong expertise in:

Data analysis, metrics development, and trend analysis

Advanced Excel (modeling, analysis) and SQL querying

PowerPoint (executive storytelling and visualization)

Proven ability to:

Translate complex IT concepts into meaningful metrics and insights

Write detailed, high-quality requirements for technical teams

Facilitate discussions and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders

Analyze data and propose actionable improvements to metrics and performance

Experience with:

Power BI dashboard validation and testing

Data models and database structures

Agile delivery and tools such as JIRA
