What our Director Of Supply Chain will do:
Own end-to-end supply chain planning from crop harvest through outbound distribution
Translate crop maturity data and forecasts into actionable supply, production, and distribution plans.
Drive a consistent delivery planning process that results in consistent and predictable execution around all aspects of PO management.
Align supply plans with operational capacity, storage availability, and customer demand
Develop predictive planning models and maintain in-season operational forecasting tools
Lead sourcing and procurement strategy across domestic and international suppliers
Oversee purchasing team activities and daily procurement operations
Establish long-term supplier contracts and strategic sourcing initiatives
Partner with QA to ensure supplier compliance and product quality standards
Integrate packaging supply chain planning into procurement and production strategies
Serve as an active member of the TWC Global Purchasing Board
Drive international sourcing strategies aligned with production and customer demand requirements
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping activities
Manage inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance, traceability, and inventory optimization
Lead storage strategy across internal facilities and third-party logistics (3PL) partners
Optimize storage utilization, product quality, and shelf-life management
Align storage and logistics plans with harvest timing and production schedules
Manage relationships, contracts, and service levels with logistics providers and 3PL partners
Drive vendor performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee supplier qualification processes and quality standards throughout the supply chain
Oversee the complete transportation lifecycle for both inbounds and outbounds
Ensure compliance with domestic and international food safety, regulatory, and export requirements
Track and analyze KPIs, including service levels, inventory performance, productivity, and supply chain costs
Implement analytics, reporting tools, and productivity systems to improve operational decision-making
Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain and procurement teams
Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain functions
Travel to fields, production facilities, and third-party logistics sites as required
Skills & experience that are necessary as our Director Of Supply Chain will include, but not be limited to:
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations within agricultural, food manufacturing, or processing environments
Strong financial skills and knowledge, including the ability to use factual data to make decisions and ensure profitability
Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
Strong ability to develop high-profile, influential, and collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers.
Advanced knowledge of supply planning, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management processes
Experience translating crop maturity and harvest forecasts into operational production and distribution plans
Strong understanding of inventory management, FIFO practices, traceability, and storage optimization
Hands-on experience managing third-party logistics providers and outside warehouse operations
Experience with bin management programs and seasonal production environments
Advanced analytical, reporting, and data visualization skills to support operational decision-making
Experience implementing and managing productivity tracking and operational performance metrics
Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and vendor negotiation skills
Ability to communicate complex operational concepts to diverse audiences and cross-functional teams
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities
Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments, suppliers, and logistics partners
Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with ERP, WMS, TMS, and BI systems used in manufacturing and agricultural operations
Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively and collaborate with multilingual teams
Willingness and ability to travel to field locations, production facilities, and third-party warehouse sites as needed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Agriculture, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 8–10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably within agriculture, food, or manufacturing environments. Experience with field-based remote sensing technologies or similar agricultural planning models preferred. Experience supporting seasonal and high-volume production operations preferred
