Lead Field Pipe Welder – Boiler & ASME Code Repairs
Full-Time | Field-Based | Company Truck Provided
We are seeking an experienced Lead Field Pipe Welder to oversee and perform boiler repair and ASME code piping work at industrial customer sites. This position is ideal for a highly skilled pipe welder with strong leadership abilities who can lead field crews while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and code compliance.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring extensive field experience with boiler systems, pressure piping, and ASME welding procedures. A company truck is provided for travel between job sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead field crews performing boiler repairs and ASME code pipe welding.
- Perform high-quality pipe welding using TIG, SMAW (Stick), and MIG processes.
- Complete repairs and installations in accordance with ASME codes, project specifications, and approved welding procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, weld procedures, and technical documents.
- Set up and operate welding equipment while maintaining proper welding parameters.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and code compliance.
- Coordinate daily field activities with project managers and other supervisors.
- Mentor and train field welders while maintaining productivity and workmanship standards.
- Enforce all company safety policies and promote a safe work environment.
- Travel to customer locations using a company-provided service truck.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing field pipe welding on boiler and ASME code piping systems.
- Previous experience leading or supervising field welding crews.
- Strong proficiency with TIG, Stick (SMAW), and MIG welding processes.
- Thorough understanding of ASME welding codes, boiler repair procedures, and pressure piping systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, isometric drawings, welding procedures, and fabrication drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel to customer job sites and work independently in the field.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour
