Description

  • Conduct evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient contexts and create tailored treatment plans
  • Deliver physical therapy interventions that enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation experts to ensure the best patient outcomes
  • Provide education to patients and their families about therapeutic journeys, discharge plans, and home exercise regimens
  • Keep thorough documentation of assessments, treatments, and progress as per regulatory and facility guidelines
  • Engage in care team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions to maintain coordinated patient care

Education

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution

Certifications

  • Required state licensure as a Physical Therapist
  • CPR certification is preferred
  • Specialty certifications (e. g. , in geriatrics or neurology) are an asset but not mandatory

Skills

  • Prior clinical experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to provide care for patients facing complex medical conditions and mobility challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with digital documentation systems is essential
