Plumber Assistant to join one of our clients in Jacksonville, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on plumbing experience while working alongside skilled professionals on commercial and marine-based projects.

In this role, you will assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems for heating, water, and drainage applications-including work in and over the water. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, may be subject to a background check, and must possess a valid driver's license. Reliability, willingness to learn, and the ability to travel to various job sites are essential for success.

Plumber Assistant Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• As a Plumbing Helper, you will support licensed plumbers and project leads by performing a variety of installation and maintenance tasks, including:
• Review building plans and drawings to understand installation methods and sequencing
• Inspect structures to identify obstructions and ensure safe pipe installation
• Measure, mark, and prepare pipe runs in floating docks, walls, and floors
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate piping and fittings
• Cut, bend, thread, and install piping using manual and mechanical methods
• Fuse HDPE pipe and assist with PEX piping connections
• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and piping systems made from metal and non-metal materials
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, soldering, plastic solvents, fusion welding, and caulking techniques
• Pressure test systems using air or water to confirm leak-free operation
