Clinical CMA or LPN - Dermatology

Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Dermatology Clinic

Location: Edina, MN (with occasional travel to Waconia and Shakopee locations)

Schedule: Part-Time: 3 days per week (with potential for full-time in the future)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00PM

**No evenings, weekends, or major holidays

About Us

We are a privately owned dermatology practice serving the Twin Cities metro area with locations in Edina, Downtown Waconia, and St. Francis Medical Center in Shakopee. Our clinic provides both medical and cosmetic dermatology services in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who enjoys working closely with patients and providers while contributing to an efficient, positive clinic experience.

Position Overview

This position is ideal for a CMA or LPN who values excellent patient care, enjoys a fast-paced clinical setting, and takes pride in organization and attention to detail. Dermatology experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain/update medical histories
• Prepare patients for dermatologic procedures and treatments
• Document visit information in EMA EHR at the direction of the provider
• Assist with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures
• Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions
• Maintain clean, organized exam and procedure rooms
• Support efficient clinic flow and exceptional patient experiences

Additional Responsibilities for Licensed Clinical Staff

• Triage patient phone calls and portal messages
• Schedule surgical procedures
• Communicate biopsy and laboratory results
• Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations
• Answer patient questions regarding diagnoses and treatment plans

Qualifications

• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Dermatology experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to occasionally cover shifts and travel between clinic locations as needed

Please Note: This position is intended for Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). We are not currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for this role.
