Special Education Teacher | Castle Rock, Colorado

This full-time contract position focuses on providing significant support for a small caseload of elementary students—typically around 6 to 8—during the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Proven experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
• Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities

You will:

• Create and deliver engaging, adaptive lesson plans aligned to each student’s unique learning needs and goals
• Develop and monitor IEPs collaboratively with families, general education teachers, and related service providers
• Provide direct instruction, behavioral support, and progress monitoring for a caseload of 6-8 students receiving significant support
• Implement and document interventions, accommodations, and modifications to support student success
• Leverage resources and technology to support differentiated learning and student independence
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
