Optician/Office Manager/Optometric Assistant

San Jose Optometry office looking for either:

Part-Time/or Full-time Front Desk/Receptionist/Optician.

We are looking for someone that has great interpersonal skills, can communicate well with others while providing extraordinary customer service and also has a good sense of style since part of position will be doing frame selection. The position requires a good team player who enjoys working with others. The right candidate will be detail oriented, organized, good computer skills, quick learner, and good at multi-tasking. We are also a completely paperless office.

• Preferred Qualifications(not required; with the right candidate, we will train):
• Experience in an optometry office
• Experience with billing (VSP, Eyemed, MES, Safeguard, Medicare)
• Bilingual: Vietnamese or Spanish a plus
• Experience with Compulink or other EMR systems
• Good Computer Skills
• Job Description:
• Check-in/check-out patients
• Answering phones, scheduling patients
• Insurance authorization/billing
• Ordering frames/contacts
• Adjusting/dispensing glasses - we can train if you have no experience in this area
• Contact lens training

Our office is located in a very diverse area, therefore we receive a wide range of patients which makes the experience fun and different everyday. We are a growing practice and our main goal is to provide exemplary medical and customer service. We do not push products here but instead we educate patients to the best of our abilities to help them make informed decision about the health of their eyes, frame selection, lens selection and contact lens purchases.
