Fleet Mechanic – Diesel

Responsibilities

• Stay ahead of issues by following and managing a preventative maintenance schedule
• Perform annual truck and trailer inspections with confidence
• Tackle everyday repairs like wiring, lighting, and tire replacements
• Diagnose and fix issues reported by drivers and identified during inspections
• Handle hands-on repairs including brakes, suspension, and other key systems
• Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
• Receive and track parts inventory to keep the shop running smoothly
• Communicate clearly with the operations team about equipment status and repair timelines

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in automotive or heavy truck repair
• Solid understanding of DOT regulations
• Strong communication skills—both in the shop and on paper
• Your own tools and the know-how to use them effectively
