Responsibilities
- Stay ahead of issues by following and managing a preventative maintenance schedule
- Perform annual truck and trailer inspections with confidence
- Tackle everyday repairs like wiring, lighting, and tire replacements
- Diagnose and fix issues reported by drivers and identified during inspections
- Handle hands-on repairs including brakes, suspension, and other key systems
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
- Receive and track parts inventory to keep the shop running smoothly
- Communicate clearly with the operations team about equipment status and repair timelines
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in automotive or heavy truck repair
- Solid understanding of DOT regulations
- Strong communication skills—both in the shop and on paper
- Your own tools and the know-how to use them effectively
