Structural Welder – 1st Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Weld and fabricate structural steel components including:
- Beams
- Columns
- Girders
- Other structural assemblies
- Perform production and structural welding using 3/32 and .045 wire.
- Read and interpret:
- Blueprints
- Shop drawings
- Welding symbols
- Technical specifications
- Operate welding equipment including:
- MIG welders
- Stick welders
- Flux-core welding equipment
- Cut, shape, and prepare materials using:
- Oxy-acetylene torches
- Plasma cutters
- Grinders
- Other fabrication tools
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams, engineers, and production personnel to meet production schedules and project goals.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on welding equipment.
- Complete finishing work, including grinding, cleaning, and polishing welded materials.
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in structural steel welding and metal fabrication.
- Proficiency with:
- MIG welding
- Stick welding
- Production welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to:
- Lift and handle steel materials
- Stand for extended periods
- Work in a manufacturing environment
- Perform work at heights when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- Flux-core welding
- Structural steel fitting
- Production welding environments
- Proficiency using:
- Oxy-acetylene torches
- Plasma cutting equipment
- Grinders and other fabrication tools
- Familiarity with structural steel manufacturing and fabrication processes.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buckeye, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
