Role and Responsibilities:

As a Food Delivery Driver, your primary objective is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of orders while providing exceptional customer service. You assist in the smooth operation of restaurant activities and help maintain a safe, polite, and teamwork-oriented work environment.

  • Inspect the vehicle before deliveries and familiarize yourself with the delivery route.
  • Verify orders for accuracy and quality, and execute deliveries according to guidelines.
  • Maintain professionalism and respect when interacting with customers across all communication channels.
  • Deliver flyers, door hangers, and food products to customers' homes.
  • Receive and process incoming telephone orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Protect confidential customer information and maintain privacy standards.
  • Process credit transactions and make deposits at the bank when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members and complete all closing tasks, including cleaning duties.
  • Navigate complex delivery environments such as multi-story buildings and residential areas.
  • Operate equipment, maintain sanitation, and perform workstation responsibilities including ingredient prep and product handling.
  • Perform basic calculations, provide correct change, and process customer purchases using computer or touchscreen systems.
  • Monitor inventory, manage ingredients, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Practice safe driving habits to ensure timely and secure deliveries.

Essential Skills and Background:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record, proof of insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to navigate using maps or GPS.
  • Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for operating equipment and performing deliveries.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled and unscheduled shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual communication skills in applicable areas.
  • Experience in customer service or food delivery roles.
  • Cross-training experience in multiple restaurant operations.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly, non-exempt position with pay rates for in-store and delivery tasks.
