The primary location for this position is remote, though candidates must be willing to be licensed in Washington and willing to work 8:00am-5:00pm PST, with occasional shifts of 9:00am-6:00pm PST to serve families needing later appointment times. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred for this role. Quarterly travel may be required for regional team meetings and in-person collaboration.
What You’ll Do
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Pediatric Dietitian provides clinical nutrition services for pediatric patients with chronic medical and behavioral health conditions. The Pediatric Dietitian will assess the nutritional needs of patients, develop and implement nutritional care plans, and communicate information to those in need in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of the patients served.
In this role you will:
Provide age-appropriate diet education to support the nutritional care plan and assess the learning needs and readiness to learn for all patients and families
Analyze growth trends, including z-scores, to prevent malnutrition, failure to thrive, growth faltering, and to identify excessive weight gain
Design individualized, feasible nutrition care plans that accommodate food preferences, allergies, financial constraints, and are realistic for families to implement
Apply expert knowledge of infant/pediatric formula composition to create precise calorically modified formula mixing instructions and individualized meal plans for age and condition-specific nutritional needs
Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and counseling to patients and caregivers across diverse pediatric conditions, including NICU graduates, feeding disorders, diabetes, weight management, lipid disorders, failure to thrive, and other complex nutritional needs
Monitor nutrition care plans using all applicable data from available electronic health records, monitor and considering age, sex, and disease specific expected growth and development and cultural/ethnic background
Document nutrition care plans effectively within the electronic health record, including closed-loop communication with nutrition technicians and the patient care team within a timely manner
Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary care teams to integrate and communicate nutrition recommendations that enhance patient outcomes
Serve as a nutrition expert resource to clinical staff regarding specialized formulas, enteral feeding regimens / tolerance, and disease specific diet information that is evidence-based
Liaison between assigned region and the clinical nutrition tailored service line
Complete additional administrative responsibilities such as triaging daily nutrition referrals and providing timely responses to caregiver communications via the mobile app
Maintain ongoing expertise in pediatric nutrition and professional credentials
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring How You Qualify
First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a pediatric dietitian
Bachelor’s degree
Certified Registered Dietitian (RD) from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, active and in good standing. Maintenance of certification is required.
Where required by state regulations—must hold an unrestricted, current dietitian license with ability to obtain state licensure in each state where telehealth services will be provided.
Licensure in Washington strongly preferred
Experience working with a pediatric population strongly preferred, virtual care experience a plus
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred

We offer an annual base salary of $77,000 - $88,000 in addition to an annual bonus incentive, a competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable).
