The Journeyman HVAC Technician plays a key role in installing, modifying, and troubleshooting residential HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with local codes. This position allows you to:
- Install and modify various HVAC equipment per installation instructions and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing systems, identifying electrical, plumbing, or safety issues as necessary.
- Fabricate sheet metal for installations, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
- Assist in advanced applications of home comfort products.
- Train and mentor junior staff members in HVAC installations and residential comfort applications.
- Maintain proper inventory of truck stock and ensure equipment is well-maintained.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 years of experience in residential HVAC installations (for Journeyman).
- 5 years of experience in residential HVAC installations (for Sr. Journeyman).
- State Journeyman HVAC license Levels I & II and CFC Certification required.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Strong customer service skills and the capability to work independently or with supervision.
- Basic hand tools and knowledge of sheet metal, copper, and gas piping installations.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid gas fitter's license.
- Maryland 2 lb certification.
