Job Description:

In the position of a Warehouse Picker Order Selector at Aramark, your primary function is to contribute to the smooth and accurate flow of products within the warehouse setting. This entails actively participating in tasks related to inventory control, order processing, and the upkeep of a tidy and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• The age requirement is that individuals must be over 18 years old
• A high school diploma or GED is the desired qualification
• Previous warehouse experience of at least two years is advantageous
• Necessary skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic are key
• Basic computer literacy
• Strong aptitude for effectively conveying messages through writing and speech
• Proficient in utilizing machinery with nimble manual dexterity
• Proficient in lifting weights of up to 50 pounds, with regular carrying and handling of loads up to 35 pounds
• In certain locations, the possession of a valid driver's license may be a prerequisite, necessitating a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review

Physical Demands:

• Lengthy periods of being on one's feet and moving
• Recurrent engagement in activities involving lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
• Uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are to be used in accordance with the regulations

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive, verify, and tag incoming items; report any discrepancies detected between the received goods and invoiced quantities
• Utilize the FIFO method to organize perishable products based on their entry sequence for enhanced storage control
• Handle manual/electric pallet jacks and forklifts through operation or training when required
• Compile and manage stock to meet requirements for product, material, and machinery orders
• Carry out the loading, unloading, and transportation of merchandise within the warehouse space or to designated customer areas using carts or motorized vehicles
• Carry out inventory audits as per the schedule
• Thoroughly document activities like updating inventory records, verifying temperatures, logging spoilage incidents, and inspecting equipment by ensuring accurate completion of paperwork or electronic forms
• Preserve the cleanliness and order of warehouse locations, including restroom facilities, break rooms, loading docks, and raised platforms
• Respect safety policies, comply with OSHA regulations, refer to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines, and understand emergency procedures
• Ensure the use of proper Personal Protective Apparatus (PPA)
• Maintain the safety of both client and company property
• Project professionalism when communicating with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
• Attend all meetings and handle any other duties as instructed
