Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Trained Head Preschool Teacher to lead our early childhood education program. This position is Full Time, 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom activities and manage daily operations to ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for preschool children.
• Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans aligned with Montessori principles, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and child development instruction.
• Monitor individual student progress through assessments and standardized testing, adjusting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs including special education and early intervention.
• Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations; ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently.
• Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress and classroom activities.
• Oversee classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior management and respectful interactions among children.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of Montessori teaching methods and early childhood education best practices.
• Proven experience working with children in preschool settings, including toddler care and daycare experience.
• Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Familiarity with childhood development theories, special education needs, early intervention techniques, and literacy education.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and community partners.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment conducive to learning.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws, child safety standards, and child welfare policies.
