Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Trained Head Preschool Teacher to lead our early childhood education program. In this vital role, you will oversee classroom operations, develop engaging curriculum tailored to young learners, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes holistic childhood development. This position is Full Time, 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
- Lead classroom activities and manage daily operations to ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for preschool children.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum plans aligned with Montessori principles, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Supervise and mentor teaching staff, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and child development instruction.
- Monitor individual student progress through assessments and standardized testing, adjusting teaching strategies to meet diverse needs including special education and early intervention.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations; ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress and classroom activities.
- Oversee classroom management strategies that promote positive behavior management and respectful interactions among children.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of Montessori teaching methods and early childhood education best practices.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool settings, including toddler care and daycare experience.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Familiarity with childhood development theories, special education needs, early intervention techniques, and literacy education.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a nurturing environment conducive to learning.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws, child safety standards, and child welfare policies.
