Position: Retail Outlet Supervisor (FT)

Job Description SUMMARY
This position oversees the operations in the Gallery as directed by Retail Manager, maintaining open line of communication with Manager and Buyer at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As scheduled, acts a lead in charge for the shops, ensuring guidelines are followed operationally and exceptional guest service is being delivered.
- Maintain a good rapport with fellow employees and reflect a positive attitude
- Report concerns/issues/ideas from guests to Retail Manager
- Communicating with Retail Buyer to ensure proper inventory levels
- Assist Retail Buyer with special orders, organization of daily/weekly tasks associated with the purchasing process
- Assist Retail Manager with daily break and weekly work schedules
- Responsible for initial training of new hires and placement with proper staff member for further training
- Create and maintain with assistance from staff:
- organization in stockrooms
- operation manual
- proper flow of paperwork from transfers to receiving
- freshness of all edible products
- order and maintain proper inventory of ice cream/supplies for the Café
- high standard of cleanliness in all areas
- handle contracts, set-up and execution of events with guidance from Retail Manager and Buyer
- Full time coverage in Retail Shops along with other assigned tasks.
- Must understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort.
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of retail experience is needed
- Familiarity with Excel and Word.
- Able to comfortably interact with guests to build incremental sales and drive revenue

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to articulate in both written and verbal communication. Must be able to speak, read and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. The candidate must have basic mathematical skills and understand how to read, analyze and assist in the creation of budgets.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

In assistance with the Retail Manager and Buyer only.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours daily
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Noise environment is usually moderate. Must follow all safety policies, procedures and standards as set by OSHA and the Health Department
- Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
