Job Description
Seacoast Charter School is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and collaborative Part-Time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the school year. In this role, you will work closely under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality speech and language therapy to elementary students from Kindergarten through 5th grade (K-5).
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Therapy: Conduct individual and small-group therapy sessions based on existing IEP goals.
- Track Progress: Document daily student performance and maintain accurate, up-to-date data logs.
- Prepare Materials: Create engaging visual aids, communication boards, and therapy activities.
- Support Devices: Assist students with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
- Collaborate: Partner with the supervising SLP and classroom teachers to support student success.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Licensure: Active Florida SLPA License (Required).
- Clearances: Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
- Skills: Excellent small group management, patience, and strong communication skills.
