Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to perform tasks safely and accurately.
• Follow electrical safety procedures and NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
• Participate in construction site activities including framing carpentry and conduit installation.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections.

Requirements

• Prior experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading.
• Familiarity with electrical safety procedures and NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters safely.
• Construction site experience with a focus on electrical installations is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with good reading comprehension skills for schematics and blueprints.
• Willingness to learn high voltage and low voltage systems along with NEC standards.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
