Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Nephrology Physician Assistant to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Bronx, New York. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized care to patients with kidney-related conditions in a collaborative and supportive outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and renal function evaluations.

Assist in the diagnosis and management of kidney-related conditions such as chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte imbalances, glomerulonephritis, and end-stage renal disease.

Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests including blood work (creatinine, BUN, GFR), urinalysis, and imaging studies.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising nephrologist.

Prescribe medications, including antihypertensives, diuretics, and phosphate binders, as appropriate.

Educate patients and families on kidney disease management, dietary modifications (fluid, sodium, potassium, phosphorus restrictions), medication adherence, and when to seek emergency care.

Coordinate care with dialysis centers, transplant teams, and other specialists within the multi-specialty practice.

Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records.

Stay current with advancements in nephrology through continuing medical education and collaboration with supervising physicians.
