As an Assembler you will work within a team to build Walker Evans shocks from start to completion. In this role, you’ll utilize various hand and power tools, following work instructions to achieve our Polaris quality standards. If you enjoy being a part of a team and using your problem‑solving skills, then this is the role for you.

Core Responsibilities

Perform mechanical assembly of products with complex functions requiring independent judgment

Understand and follow established procedures and processes to safely produce quality parts

Recognize, communicate and document safety concerns

Troubleshoot and adjust to build a quality product

Perform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized

Complete work documentation accurately such as production orders, tags, and quality sheets

Education and Experience

High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred but not required

Technical Degree within a related field from an accredited institution or 0-2 years of related mechanical assembly experience

Must be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within mechanical assembly

Related manufacturing experience is preferred

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Required Physical Demands

Routinely lifts up to 40 pounds individually

Works in multiple positions during a shift

Ability to stand for a 10 hour shift

Environmental Exposures

Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts

Occasionally exposed to hot conditions

Occasionally exposed to non‑toxic fumes

Moderate noise level

Occasionally exposed to oil, grease, gasoline, dust, metal particles and sharp edged materials

Safety Requirements

Exposed to hazards/risks that require body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes, sleeves, safety glasses, etc.)

The starting pay range for California is $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime. Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
