Job Summary

Under supervision and the direction of the Master Teacher, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for preschool aged children.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school required. One year experience in an early childhood setting preferred. Enrollment in Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in child development or related field preferred. Three to six units infant/toddler care development desired. THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION: Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification. California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher. Infant/toddler care and development desirable. (SPECIAL NOTE: Copies of Permits should include the permit name, details, authorizations, and expiration date. Obtain a copy from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov.) RECOMMENDED DOCUMENTS: The following documents are recommended at the time of application:

  • Letter of Interest
  • Resume
  • Transcripts

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: * Valid driver's license. * Required to provide own transportation and must have proof of insurance. The following documents are NOT required at time of application, but will be required if offered employment:

  • Department of Justice/FBI/CACI fingerprint clearance
  • Tuberculosis clearance
  • Physical/lift test/drug screen clearance
  • Official transcripts
