Starkel Enterprises is seeking an experienced In-House HVAC Technician to maintain and repair the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across our portfolio of 20 commercial buildings. Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment across 20 commercial properties.
• Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, package units, exhaust systems, and building HVAC controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
• Respond to service requests and emergency repairs.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements before failures occur.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or warranty work.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes and OSHA safety standards.
• Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance projects as needed.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and inventory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to troubleshoot commercial HVAC systems independently.
• Strong understanding of electrical controls and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman HVAC License (preferred but not required)
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
• Refrigeration experience
• Boiler and hydronic system experience
• Welding or sheet metal fabrication experience
