Starkel Enterprises is seeking an experienced In-House HVAC Technician to maintain and repair the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across our portfolio of 20 commercial buildings. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in preventative maintenance, and wants the stability of working for a single employer rather than traveling from customer to customer.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment across 20 commercial properties.
- Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, package units, exhaust systems, and building HVAC controls.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues.
- Respond to service requests and emergency repairs.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements before failures occur.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
- Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs or warranty work.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and OSHA safety standards.
- Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance projects as needed.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and inventory.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC experience.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to troubleshoot commercial HVAC systems independently.
- Strong understanding of electrical controls and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, rooftops, and mechanical rooms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman HVAC License (preferred but not required)
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
- Refrigeration experience
- Boiler and hydronic system experience
- Welding or sheet metal fabrication experience
