Job Overview

Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies.
- Foster strong communication with children to support their social-emotional development and address individual needs effectively.
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and support early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and mandated reporting laws compliance.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure smooth transitions and maximize learning time for all children.
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention practices to support diverse learners and promote inclusive education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods, standardized testing procedures, and literacy instruction techniques.
- Experience in behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions among children.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical activity, math skills, and child welfare considerations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, staff, and community partners.
- Certification or coursework in special education or early intervention is preferred; mandated reporting laws knowledge is required.
