Industrial Maintenance Technician / Service Technician

We are seeking a Industrial Maintenance Technician / Service Technician to join our team in Modesto, CA. This is a full-time, day shift position working Monday through Friday with temp-to-hire potential. The technician will be responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing industrial weighing equipment, ranging from precision laboratory balances to large truck and railroad track scales used across industries such as manufacturing, shipping, aggregates, chemical processing, and pharmaceuticals. This role is primarily field-based, working at customer sites including industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and outdoor environments, ensuring equipment accuracy, reliability, and uptime while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair industrial scales and weighing systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled calibrations, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic issues
• Communicate with customers regarding service work and equipment operation
• Complete accurate service documentation, work orders, and maintenance reports
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures while maintaining equipment uptime

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience in industrial maintenance, field service, electronics, or mechanical repair preferred
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Valid Class B Driver’s License with a clean DMV record and authorization to work in the U.S. (E-Verify will be used)
• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting test weights and working in industrial or outdoor environments
