Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Electricians with specialized experience in data center environments to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-tech electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and complex schematics, ensuring the reliable operation of critical infrastructure. As an Electrician in this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems within data centers, adhering strictly to safety standards and local electrical codes. Your expertise will help keep our data centers running smoothly and efficiently, supporting essential digital services worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including high-voltage and low-voltage wiring within data center facilities.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes for safety and regulatory adherence.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while following electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards.
- Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial control systems critical for data center operations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction experience to complete renovation or construction projects efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, diagnose issues promptly, and execute repairs or upgrades as needed.
- Collaborate with construction teams on schematics reading, framing carpentry, and handyman tasks to support facility upgrades or expansions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records.
Experience
- Proven industrial electrician experience with a strong background in commercial electrician work within data center or similar high-tech environments.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes is essential.
- Experience working on construction sites involving renovation projects or new installations in data centers or large commercial facilities.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, electrical blueprint interpretation, and schematics is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to follow strict electrical safety procedures while working with high-voltage systems.
- Construction experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills that support electrical installations or facility upgrades is a plus.
