Entry Level Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Accountant to join our team. This position will support the day-to-day accounting operations of our HVAC wholesale distribution business, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and general accounting functions. There is a 3 month trial period for this position.

ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Prepare and process vendor payments.
• Post and reconcile company credit card transactions.
• Review employee expense reports and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.

Accounts Receivable

• Post customer payments and maintain accurate customer account records.
• Reconcile customer accounts and assist with collections activities.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Assist with credit applications and customer credit file maintenance.

General Accounting

• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Generate accounting reports and analyze financial data.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems.
• Support inventory and purchasing reconciliations as needed.
• Assist with audits and special projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Experience in distribution, wholesale, inventory, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and account reconciliation processes.

Pay: Up to $65,000.00 per year
