A global leader in precision manufacturing is seeking a Staff Accountant. This role is perfect for someone with a strong AP background who wants to broaden their accounting experience. While approximately 60% of your time will focus on Accounts Payable, you'll also gain valuable exposure to Accounts Receivable, payroll, tax, month-end close, and general ledger accounting. Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (Approximately 60%)
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Review invoices for approvals and proper coding.
- Prepare weekly ACH, wire, and check payment runs.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Assist with month-end AP close and accruals.
- Ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
- Support Accounts Receivable by processing customer invoices and recording cash receipts.
- Assist with collections and account reconciliations.
- Support payroll processing and related reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with sales and use tax filings.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities.
- Prepare audit support and financial schedules.
- Help improve accounting processes and identify efficiencies.
- Provide support across the accounting team as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong Accounts Payable experience required.
- Manufacturing or industrial accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience with Accounts Receivable, payroll, and month-end close is preferred.
- SAP experience is highly desirable, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
